So, has anyone here bought a bum eShop card? I picked one up on Wednesday from EBGames and when I tried to activate it I got an error code that isn't even listed on Nintendo's support site. Called them up and it turns out that the card wasn't properly activated so they told me to go back to the store. I went back to EBGames yesterday and they told me there's nothing they can do about it and to call Nintendo back.
Nintendo disagrees, but told me to scan both the card and my receipt ant email or fax it to them. This is a bit much for a $20 card. What happened when (if ever) you got a card that didn't work? EDIT: Bloody hell. I just had a look at the receipt and I thought something didn't add up so I looked at the back of the card that did get authenticated. Turns out the guy didn't actually give me an activated card.
He had said something during the transaction about one of the two cards already being used, so he swapped it with another card. What he ended up doing is not activating the second card, as the first card is the one that's listed on the receipt! I called the store back and when my wife gets home from work I'm going down there to get the card replaced. EDIT 2: Got the card I actually paid for, have the $20 in my eShop account. All's well that ends well.

My family receives iTunes Gift Cards from out of town relatives for Christmas (2013) and they will not activate. So I contact iTunes support and get directions on how to get the cards activated. I follow said directions. Your responses have been anything but supportive. In fact you are coming across like a rude gatekeeper determined to not solve the problem.
First you said I shouldn't have sent all 4 iTunes cards as one scan and I highlighted the exact words on your email where you said no such thing. Now you say you can't read them. I sent your the required scans and the iTunes cards were scanned at a 600 x 600 resolution with dimensions of 5088 x 7012. The scan of the receipt is not quite as high a resolution, but quite readable on my iPhone.
If you open them in 'Preview' and click on the '+' icon the image gets bigger! As an Apple employee I am sure you have this application on your work machine. I have been an Apple customer since 1995 (Mac Classic, Quadra 610 & 650, PowerMac 7200, eMAc, iMac, PowerBook 190 and 5300, Wallstreet & Pismo, iBook, and 2 MacBooks plus LOTS of Software) and I have never-EVER dealt with anyone so utterly un Apple-like.
